I'm going to wait and see if

    a) ammo companies will offer wide support
    b) the new caliber brings any unexpected snafus to the Glock platform
    c) ballistics info, chamber pressures compared to .45ACP
    d) gotta shoot one for myself.

I was waiting SO LONG for this gun, then they go and make a new caliber. So many of us were drooling over the new .45, but a ".45Glock" Glock? I don't know.

If it was .45ACP, I'd already by finding a local dealer so I could get one of the first. Now... I'm not nearly as interested. Oh well, back to the Glock 21 for me I think.

I'm excitied about it and have ordered one. I expect delivery about the 1st of May. Remember, 100 years ago, folks laughed at John Browning for taking the .45 Long Colt and shortening it. More recently, folks laughed at S&W for shortening the 10mm cartridge and calling it a .40S&W. Who's laughing now?

Lots of people are still laughing about the .40 Short and Weak. Just something to consider.

For me, it's not so much "that new caliber sucks" as it is "I LOVE .45ACP and waited so long for a new Glock chambered in that caliber".

Personally I have my doubts about the new caliber, but my main feeling is just disappointment. I prefer .45ACP, and was really looking forward to a G17/22 sized model. It's really, really frustrating to come *sooooo close*, yet so far away ;)

I thought they were called "Slow and Weak";f ;f ;f

I would have rathered they put the time in on a .44 Mag. myself. I would love to have that much "Knock-Down Power". I too am going to wait and see what else will be offered with the G37.

I might have to be happy with my G21 and G30.

As already stated, the big question will be ammo. I will not buy anything that I can't find ammo for. That's been my biggest reservation about getting a .17 HMR, and it will probably be my biggest reservation with the G37. I see it as an uphill battle for Glock, building a new pistol around a cartridge that doesn't exist. But I do agree that it is a good idea, and I hope it works out.

I see one positive for me, so far. I am not feeling the "uncontrollable urge" to buy a third .45ACP Glock.

If they would just "slim-line" the 21, I'd be all over one! Not going anywhere near the 37!

I can't wait to here your opinion of the G37 . I think there will be those who may move up from the 9mm to the .45G .
We don't want to forget it only takes one stroke of the pen and owning a firearm the same caliber as the military could be illegal in the US as it is in some countries now.
