great carry gun; fun to shoot; accurate for the platform; can beat up your hand (Glock knuckle) with good night sights and minus connector is is even better. shoot one if you can get your hands on it. some people view the single stack mag that doesn't hold 100 rounds as a negative; some don't care the mag capacity. some people have issues with the gun going FTF and FTE; others swear by it (like me).

good luck

I have two G36.
I'll never part with either of them.

One was NIB in late '02.
The other was slightly used in '09.
Both have been 100% with all ammo.
Very accurate, easily concealable.

The short, slim single-stack mags make for a super-quick reload, carry very easily in a pocket, and the loaded rounds are very secure in that tight single stack: if pocketed or dropped the rounds do not spill out, but rather stay put.

If I had to do a fast reload under extreme circumstances I would MUCH rather it be a magazine-fed semi-auto than a revolver with a speed-loader.

Have carried and shot a G 36 since Feb.2002 and love it. IMHO the best concealed carry 45ACP out there. The G 36 was designed by Glock for concealed carry and they did a great job.

Best 45 carry you could get. I'm a big Kahr guy, but just can't convince myself that the minute advantages of width, footprint and weight I could get with a PM45 are anywhere near worth the reliability, ergos and shootability of the G36. I can get 8 rounds in mine while sacrificing nothing in reliability and very little in footprint.

Carry it anytime I wear a jacket....

I bought one for carry but it's not a whole lot smaller than a G19. I guess I'm not big enough to hide it easily. My fav carry piece is a Kahr CW9, it's incredibly slim and lightweight. Overall, my G36 shoots well and has been reliable.

Accurate, easy to conceal, rugged, dependable and its a Glock! 7 rounds should handle any situation and the mags are easy to conceal if you think you will need more.

I have a question about that. I just bought a G36 a few days ago, and it is recent production (June 2011.) The trigger bar has "1704" on it...no -1 or -1- as has been referred to in threads about other models like the G30SF. Is that what you are referring to?

I am a little confused about this.

Ok, the trigger bar on the 36 is unique to the 36. The part is not shared with any other model.

The factory connectors come in 3 flavors "-", "+" & standard. In short, the connector can change the weight of trigger pull. The minus connector will lower the weight somewhat, the plus will raise it. All but one Glock come from the factory with the Standard connector. Do a search on this forum for more information.
