i purchased four pearce grip extensions (3 -plus zero and 1 -plus one) for my glock 36.

all three plus zero extensions feed just fine with no problems at all. However the plus one w/stock spring jams on the 2nd or 3rd rounds every time.

i only use the pearce ext. for target and i only carry with stock mags so i'm not worried but the plus one is done for sure - at lease with the stock spring.

i'm thinking pearce should only sell the plus one with a heavier/longer spring - assuming thats the problem...

That's why I don't like the idea of a +1 extension. The magazine and spring were not designed for that set up. just saying...

The stock spring in the +1 IS the problem. Get a +10% spring or stop using the +1 extension.

The spring you need is the second from the bottom on this page. You are adding more length to the mag with a +1. The 10%+ spring compensates for that. Some will tell you they have been using the stock spring and have had no problems.I think it's just a matter of time for them. Replace it and be done with it.

I did. I replaced them all with the above stated spring and the problems disappeared.

hmmm.....I haven't had this issue with my G36 and +1 baseplate. Maybe I'm lucky. Still might look into picking up this spring.

i finally tried new 10%+ springs from wolf for my pearce +1 mag ext. and still had problems. it was better but still had 3/50 jams whereas the stock spring was 1/6 failures. i noticed that if i only loaded 6 rds into the mag it was fine just couldnt handle 7 rds without ejection failures....

i also ordered ismi springs but they are on back order from gmeister...

I just use the +0 extensions. Never the first failure with my 36

I also use the +0's and they perform flawlessly. I wouldn't run the +1's or +2's for the reason you listed, spring length and tension.

I'd just run the +0's and not worry about malfunctions.

The +1 extension works fine for me, but I wouldn't trust it for defense without the +10% springs.

The +0 extensions work 100%.. they don't have any effect on the spring length at all.

i have the +0 plates and they work fine - just trying to get the +1 to work. im reading where springs should fix the issue.

the wolf springs did not work. they appear to have the same number of coils that have been stretched out. I could do that with the stock springs - lol

After 2+ months on back orders the ismi springs will be here tue. If these do not work, im giving up and will stick to the +0 at the range. I carry stock mags only….

finally tried the ismi springs and voila no miss feeds. not sure what the deal is with the wolf springs but they would not feed with 7 in the mag...

I don't have a G36, but I've got a G26 that I use Pearce +1 extensions on the mags and have had no problems. The 11th round is a little tough to get in, but it goes. I'm still using the stock mag springs and they feed just fine.

Mine have worked without the +10 spring as well. My g26 mags with Pierce +2 are working with factory springs also.

good to here the 26 is OK with it. the 26's double stack mag vs the 36's single stack is enough difference that would make a poor comparision.

the 36 stock mags would not feed at all. the wolf springs were an improvement but would still miss feed. the ismi springs solved the problem totally. with my Pearce +1 experience, i will only carry w/ stock mags for sure...
