    I want to purchase a 45. Looking at a Glock 36 or a Kahr PM45. Love the single stack. I have a Kahr PM9 and a Glock 27. Thanks!'

I own a G36 and have fired the Kahr. I'll start by saying the G36 is my least favorite Glock, don't ask me why, it just doesn't do it for me. I'd shoot any of my other Glocks happily before reaching for the 36.

The Kahr is slimmer and feels slimmer when handling it. The Kahr also seems to handle recoil better, but that could just be my perception. Some Kahr pistols have reliability issues for the first few hundred rounds, the Glock will function perfectly out the box.

If the the SHTF I'd happily reach for either, at least once the Kahr is broken in, but given the choice would reach for the Glock first.

The Kahr may be a touch easier to conceal for some people, but I personally never found an issue with pistol width and conceal-ability, I often carry a double stack STI and find it is no harder to conceal than say a Glock 19, despite the obvious difference in size.

Shoot both and pick the one that feels right to you.

    Get the new Glock 30s
G36 top with a 10 round mag. Grip is almost identical to a G27.

Have you looked at the XDs? I have shot a 36 and did not care for it. Never shot a PM45 but I have handled one and it felt nice.

My carry guns are either a Glock 23 or 36 or a Ruger LCP. The 36 is the most common one for me to carry. Just my thoughts on the 36.

There is a size difference obviously, but that is up to you to decide which one will work for you. I personally find Kahrs to be one of the hardest recoiling pistols I have ever shot. It may just be the grips and hard sharp edges. The Pm45 was the smallest 45 auto until the XDS but I still think the Kahr is smaller. I really like the G36 and borrow my buddy's a lot.

OP, I see that you are from New York ( I feel sorry for you). You New Yorkers better stock up on the G36s (only a 6 round magazine).
I think that my G36 is great, and if and when they come out with a Gen 4, I will probably own another. Sorry, no opinion of the .45 Kahrs due to lack of experience with them.
    Good luck.
