Ok, I'm sure there is a answer some where down the line to
this same question but going to ask anyway. I have a chance
to get my self a G36, how is it? I have shot the G30 and I
did like it alot. But I think the g36 would carry alot better
than the wide grip of the G30. The high cap mag does nothing
to me I mean dang its a .45. What do you guys think G36 or G30?
    Thanks
    Todd

Even if you don't care for the extra rounds, I'd still go with the 30 as it is much more comfortable to shoot. I used to have a 36 and I didn't hate it or anything, I just didn't see the point of giving up the 30 in favor of it.

If I could only keep one handgun, it would be the 30.

If both fit you equally well (which I can't imagine), I'd go for the 30 because of more fire power--unless the slimmer line of the 36 is better for your concealment needs.

I tried both, the 30 and the 36, and decided for the 36 because it fits my hands better and it is quite a bit lighter. Just got the Pearce +1 for my mags, so there's one more each in stock for the BG ;f

;) both are fine guns, but the G-36 is the the better "carry package", lighter, thinner and accurate. If you can't defend yourself with 7 rounds (how many revolvers carry 10 rounds?), you shouldn't be carrying.

I had to make this decision as well, what sealed it for me was almost every salesperson I talked to at 3 different stores, was carrying the G-36. Just my 2 cents.

    G-36 = Great Carry

i LOVE my 30 and no problem concealing it. i've never shot one but i've read on here where people said the 36 has a little bit more "bite" to it because it's thinner and doesn't spread the reacoil over a larger area like the "little fat boy" 30.:)
