Gen4 Glocks have modular back straps and reversible magazine releases. The only Gen4's presently in existence are the G17 and G22.

Also, the gen 4 has "gen4" stamped on the slide.

while i dont thing it will be made a gen 4
sure would be nice if they would "fix" a few things

    full length grip
cause if your not goingot have a 5 round mag that is flush with the cut down handle whats the point of the short handle (and stop the few pinky pinch ppl that are having problems)

even more nuts woudl be a 1 inch longer slide option or 9mm/22lr convertion so it would be a bit cheaper to keep up with a "carry" pistol (i would love to get to the range more often but $$$)

wheres that horse at when i need it :) (wanders how much a long slide would cost to have custom made )

true about the whole pinching issue. thats why i ordered the pearce magazine extensions. and yea i would be great if it was a bit longer. but would it still be considered as subcompact or just a compact?

I think he means 3rd, but by his logic that means there was no 1st generation either since it's always had finger grooves. Either way, the next generation for all Glocks that aren't already 4th is 4th.

till they offer a 5 round mag that sits flush with the bottom of the grip i (who relly wants one less round anyhow)
it might as well be a slim 19/23/32 sure not the 2 finger grip of a 26/27
BTW i got the 36 cause i wanted a thin 45 and didnt want to pay the $ for a colt (then have it moded to my liking)

    wheres that dead horse
give me that 3 finger grip but keep the backstrap the same profile (with grip plug) and another inch of barrel as an option :)

if i get more time and a bit more funds i might play areound and see how many 9x23 fit in the mag just for fun and also find a way to use a 22LR conv. to save a bit of $ on ammo (again more of a jsut for fun
