I have a taurus .41 mag 425 tracker that I never shoot anymore.
A friend that I havent seen for a while told me that he was in the market for a 425 (Not just a .41 mag, but specifically mentioned the model.) for hiking (Bear defense, etc.).
He asked if I wanted to sell it.
I said 'why not' and offered him a price of $350.
It prolly has less than 200 rounds through is and is 2 years old.
Later, he mentioned that he'd prolly have to sell his glock 357SIG to pay for it.
I told him the G20 or a smith 657 would be a better choice for bear defense, but he wants a wheelgun, and needs it to be small and light.
I know for a fact that he doesn't shoot the glock much because of the cost of ammo, so it is prolly like new as well.
I haven't suggested the trade to him yet, and wanted to run it through a few of the GTers and see what they say.
    What do you think?

    Also, forgot to mention
I paid $429 new for the tracker, it's a 4" and is stainless.
The glock is a full size 357sig and I have shot it before. No problems.
I have a dillon 550, and will prolly wind up selling him .41 ammo for my cost to reload, so he doesn't have to pay retail for factory loads.
I have many other .41s, so it's not like I'm really giving up anything.
    I have 2 357SIGs currently, a 229, and a 2340.

It's a great deal, the price of a used Glock .357 in any model at any gun shop is bit more than you paid for your Taurus new. Unless the finish is beat to hell or there have been some perment modifications on the gun I'd jump all over that deal.

Forgot to add that Taurus firearms DO NOT hold their value well. If you went to sell that 425 you'd be very lucky to get back $200 for it. Trust me, dump the Tauri and get the Glock. ;)
