I have been trying to deside between the Glock 35 and the Sig 226 for use in competition shooting. Have been looking at all the forums and show some bad things about barrel wear on the Sig. But have not found much on the Glock 35. If anybody is using one I would really like to hear what you think of it.

I would suggest you try both firearms so you can determine which one is right for you. The only issue I see with the SIG is that if you are using the alloy framed version it wont hold up over time due to a weakning of the frame rails. Its a non issue with the stainless framed version.

For IDPA it’s going to be either ESP or SSP for USPSA depending on caliber for scoring (SIG 226 comes in 9x19 Minor and 40 S&W Major) you will be in either Limited, Limited 10 or Production. Way too many choices. I use a G35 for competition but I have used my SIG's in IDPA again it’s a matter of preference. Also there are more aftermarket parts available like magazine extensions for the Glock pistols.

I see a few Sigs, but more Glocks in IDPA competition. The 35 is an outstanding choice.

    I like glocks better.

I shoot a G35 in IDPA and USPSA. Minor in IDPA and minor is USPSA production, and major in USPSA L10 and LTD. One gun that can shoot all divisions.

The G35 can hold 20 rds in USPSA LTD. I don;t think the sig can hold that many.
