    Hi all,

In the next 2 days I will purchase another gun for target practice. I can shoot a G35 w/9mm Wolf barrel at 7~10 yards in almost a single hole which I am sure most can too. My 1911 5in Kimbers do the same 1in hole slow 2 hand fire at 7 and 10 yards.

I have the opportunity to purchase a HK P7M8 or a G34 w/Wolf barrel, but will the HK be alot more accurate? It is 30% more expensive too.

    Thanks,
    Jose

    HK is the cocker?
    Not much of a barrel.
    Would think the 34 wins.

The P7M8 has a fixed barrel and is one of the most accurate handguns in the world.

I keep hearing the same thing "HK the most accurate in world", but has any of you ever shot both and did a side by side comparisson?

    Thanks,
    Jose

HKs aren't the most accurate in the world, though I will say that the P7 series is most likely the most accurate of the factory HKs.

It depends on what you shoot better. I personally don't shoot a Glock all that well.

Putting them both on a rest to take the human element out of it, I'd be shocked if the G34 could outshoot the P7M8. In fact, I wouldn't think it would be all that close.

I could see the HK shooting the same groups at 50 yards that the G34 shoots at 25 yards.

By the way, what's the purpose of the question? The two guns are as different as night and day.

HK imo just because of the fixed barrel

Nope. We don't actually own any guns, we're just here to perpetuate stereotypes.

    I thought I'd give you a squeeze..... :)

I had two P7's (still have one), and have shot a few others. They've all been very good, accurate shooters, but I can't say that you'll find them to be more accurate than the Glocks.

As with most guns, accuracy will vary from one specific gun to the next, and it's not very often that one can say 'brand A' guns will be more accurate than 'brand B' guns....especially among 'service' pistols.

G33's right though, the shorter sight radius of the P7 can make it a little harder to shoot well. I wouldn't expect to see a lot of difference between them at 7 to 10 yards.

The P7 was my choice for carry on my own time until Glocks came along.

Jose, try asking this in the General Firearms section and see what kind of answer you get. ;)

    Its not a target gun.

Its a service gun that just happens to have a recipe for great accuracy. ;)

Especially when the human element is factored in. Have you actually tried a P7 trigger? OMG they're great!

I love my Glocks but my P7 psp that I had was easily the most accurate out of the box 9mm (or gun period) that I ever shot. Makes anyone who's half a decent shot look like a superstar. Unfortunately it heats up like a manifold on a turbo car after a few mags and makes it uncomfortable to shoot. If not I'd still have mine.

The one who is good at shooting does not hit the center of the target.

Sorry for the OT in advance, but that reminds me of a fella' I knew back in the late eighties. I was driving my Grand National and had just popped the hood to show a couple of friends, and this guy asks "is this the turbo?" and places his hand onto it before I could stop him. Instant steak-on-the-grill sounds, followed instantly by some louder and more profane sounds.
