I'm a big fan of 9mm in Glock, for my first Glock I want the Glock 19. But a few months later I want to add a Glock 34 to the collection. Can any post pictures, and tell me what you think? Also, since the G34 has the cut out on the front end of the slide, I'm going to get a compensated barrel... what are the most accurate, best compensated barrels? (LWD, Bar Sto, Lake Storm?) I'm currently stocking up on ammo and I just bought two 33 Rd Mags and a 17 Rd Mag off MidwayUSA.

I love my 34, granted, it's a project gun and I only picked it up a few weeks ago. it shoots great with the OEM Glock barrel. A compensated barrel seems like overkill as 9mm doesn't have much recoil (to me), especially when you could buy more ammo!

    here are some pics:

I have a 34 with a Storm Lake compensated barrel. I took it to the range last weekend with my stainless steel CZ 75. I shot 100 rds of 147 gr 9mm through the CZ and it was muzzle flipping all over the place. That same ammo through the "34C" produced almost no muzzle flip. I can't wait to try it with 115 gr.

I really want a G35 but I'm thinking I should wait for a gen 4. Does anyone know if its even getting the gen 4 treatment anytime soon? The G34 is very nice as well:supergrin:

I'm waiting for the LWD lower and making my own custom, thin frame G34. Hence mine being a project.

9mm compensated barrels only really work if you are a handloader and load a little hot with a slow burning powder. Otherwise, you won't notice a big difference.

Thanks for the info guys... I just really liked the look of the Compensated barrel in the opening of the slide of the 34... maybe I'll do it with the G35.

Truly looks are about all the comp 9mm bbls are good for. But if it is what ya like, it is all that matters.

Must be OK--I have 3 of 'em. Forget the compensated barrel, if you want a comp get one that screws on. If you want to shoot 9 major get an after market barrel. Minor 9mm rounds don't have enough recoil to worry about a comp. Just shoot it as is and enjoy
