    Buy a Gen 3. If you want a Gen 4, buy a 35.

As far as I know, they were supposed to debut along with the G4 35, back last November. They must be working out the kinks. I'd say May's a good bet.

Supposedly they already made their debut. And then glock recalled them because of something to do with the slides. I don't know exactly what it was that was wrong, but they have been recalled. They should be around soon, as soon as they fix whatever issue was wrong with the slides.

The Glock 34 Gen 4 have been out and available for purchase outside the US for about a month now, and two weeks ago they recalled the slides. They are not out in the US yet, and no availability date has been provided by the manufacturer. These is no confirmation that it has received ATF approval yet.

Unless you qualify for LEO pricing or are planning on GSSF, you better save a few more pennies.

Actually, only the 'Homeland Security' price will be under $500 ($481) - GSSF pricing is something like $507 now. :whistling: Then you have tax to think about.....

I purchased a G34 just before the Orlando GSSF match.
The GSSF price was $507 + $5.00 Check and Florida Tax.
Did not want to wait for the Gen 4 model.
I did put a set of Dawson FO front and Black out rear (great Sights).
If you can find one get it, if you can find one at a good price buy 2:rofl:, and call me I would love a second one.

I'm tired of waiting. Going to order an M&P Pro 5" Been kinda wanting an excuse to try the S&W M&P for IDPA anyway, and this Glock 34 gen 4 delay is finally giving me that excuse :)

Yeah, but then you are competing against 1911s, which IMHO, have some significant advantages in competition over guns in the SSP class. (which is why they put them in a different class).

As far as Gen 3 G34, I wanted to standardize on the Gen 4 platform going forward. I'm actually one of the believers in the Gen 4 after buying a G19 Gen 4. I like the new recoil spring and backstraps.

Anyway, pulled the trigger on the 5" M&P pro 9mm this morning from Buds gun shop. I like a lot of things about this gun, and I like my Glocks, so I'll keep adding to both collections, but my message to Glock on the Gen 4 G34: Snooze you lose.
