Thinking about converting my G26 to a G33. This will be for carry so need utmost reliability. Assuming I drop the entire G33 upper on the G26 lower, what else do I need? Do I need to change out the extractor? Thanks

You would need to swap the ejector, as the .40 and .357 SIG is a different part than the 9mm. And mags of course.

I would recommend finding a gently used G27 and just dropping in an OEM G33 .357 SIG barrel. Then you have two calibers in one gun that are easy swapped. The G26-27/33 route is a little more complicated and also doesn't get you a new gun!

You could buy a 40 s&w frame off gun broker for cheap.

You could but a G33 for cheap. Or you could wait for the Gen 5.... :(

Thanks guys, good suggestions. The basic question was about the ejector (I misspoke when I said extractor).

There are a few reasons why I don’t want to go the G27 route, mostly because I have a number of .40s and am after that .357 Sig barrel.

The other question is, does the G33 use the same sights as the G26? I seem to remember reading that the subcompact .357 Sig uses the same sight height as the 9mm which is not the same as the compact or full sized .357 Sig pistols.

I think.... you could likely answer the sight question by browsing the websites of Trijicon or TruGlo and checking part numbers for each pistol.

That's correct. The G33 uses the same sights as the G26.(6.5mm) The G31 and 32 use the 6.9mm rear that the 10MM and 45 Autos use.
