I am thinking of buying a G-30SF, I have a 27, 19, and 36 but I have the itch to get the G-30SF. To those of you that own them, how do you like them?

Bought one about 6 months ago, thinking it would be great. It shoots well, recoil is pleasant, length is comparable to a 19. Although I love my 19, 26 and 27, I cannot bring myself to carry this thing concealed. It's just a brick. I'm going to trade it for a 23, probably.

I tend to agree with Sparky that is too thick to be a great IWB carry gun. Outside the waistband it should be fine. If you carry it IWB be sure to get a thin holster.
Measurements show the G30's slide to be more than a quarter inch thicker than any of my other 45 automatics. For IWB carry the slide thickness is important because that's the part that is concealed under your waistband. The grip is less important.

i carry my G30sf in a bulldog leather IWB (AKA mike) with 11 rounds of 45 Gold Dots, best 45 to carry IMHO.

I love my 30SF and I just got a Crossbreed Supertuck for it. As others have said, it is kind of thick but certainly not a big problem. It is my favorite carry peice and at 5'10" and 250 it conceals nicely. I am going to order a Sparks OWB for it next month.

I've owned mine for almost two years. It's one of the pistols I regulary carry. I use a Raven Concealment Systems holster IWB and don't notice the pistol's thickness. Also, the pistol fits my hand much better than the G30 I used to carry and it's quite accurate.

I've carried mine almost daily for over a year now. When I wasn't carrying the 30SF I had my 21SF. Carry OWB or in an ankle rig and have never been made with it. Wouldn't trade it for anything! Less recoil than the 36 and I can carry 10 + 1 in it with a 21SF mag as back up holding 13 more for a total of 24 just in case I need 'em rounds "when the excrement hits the oscillating device"!!!"

I just put my 23 back in the safe because I'm carrying my 30SF with 9 round magazine now. It conceals easier and I still have 10 rounds of 200gr +P Gold Dots. It also fits great in my Cross Breed Super Tuck for my 23.

    Thanks.

Love mine! No issues...carry it all the time, iwb with 11 rounds. I like it iwb carry for weapon retention and concealability. 75% of people that would see me outside of work would know that I am carrying just because of my line of work, so I can retain it and do work if I need to. 11 hydra-shocks handle a few thugs! My question is has anyone had any issues with having 11 rounds in the gun and failures to feed? i have never had any but ppl say a lot of bad about that.

I bought a G30Sf and sold it within a month. It is a brick, to thick and heavy. I bought an H&K uspc .45 and love it.

Sounds like a mixed bag. I just won an auction on GB for a nib G30sf for $450. I guess if I don't like it I can always get my money back. I took my G21sf to the range today and man I sure shoot it well, I can only hope I shoot the 30 as well. I do have the G23, G26 and G21 so I like the Glock platform.
