I had a chance to shoot it today and it's going to be a big hit I believe. Very interesting new pistol for sure.

I really wish they did a Gen 4 version of it!

    I would buy it immediately.

Now it's going to take some convincing.

From the description of the G30S at the us.glock.com web site, the "S" almost certainly stands for slim (or slimmer).

"Built on the G30 SF frame, the G30S combines the full capacity .45 Auto round count with a slimmer slide."

The frame width is unchanged from the Gen3 G30 SF frame (SF=Short Frame). Just the width of the slide has been reduced on the G30S.

I was hoping the frame would be a tad slimmer as well so I could use this in my g27 holsters. Ah well. Looks promising still!

I have a question for the OP. Do you prefer G30S over G30 or it is no different between the two handguns? (I know the weight and the size are little different).

I wonder if the slide weight will effect the great accuracy of the normal 30.
