Anyone have a problem with their factory recoil rod on their 30? Pulling on the outer spring caused it to jump off the big end of the rod and into my hand. Is this normal? Should the spring come off that easy?

No, it should not come off. Get a new one. Call Glock, they will probably send you one under warranty.

That's what I figured. I heard the 30's have had problems with their recoil rods. Hopefully Glock is aware and has fixed the problem. Ordering new one. I don't feel like waiting 6-8 weeks for a replacement rod. THANX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stripped mine one day and the springs shot all over hell. The end of the recoild rod broke off and **** flew everywhere. Glock told me they would send new parts no problem but decided to go with a SS Rod instead.

    Good Luck...
