Everyone always raves about how wonderful the Glock 30 is. How about the Glock 29?

I want to add a 10mm to the stable but I want to be able to carry it all year. I can conceal a 20/21 sized gun, but it takes more work.

Will I get as much use and FUN out of the smaller Glock 29?

Well I just bought one about 3 weeks ago and I shot it for the first time yesterday. All I can say is now I'm hooked. It shoots so smooth and is quite accurate for what it is. While at the range I had some Meprolites put on it. All I need now is a C-tac and some Double-tap and I'm set. Get one and you won't be disappointed.;c

My G29 is my favorite pistol. I carry it year-round and I'm not a very large fellow.
Everybody's different tho. You have to try one to find out.

I have both the G29 and G30. My G29 sees more carry time than any other gun I own. I prefer it to the G30, by far.

I do carry it when I am fishing or just bumming around and I love it. I hardly notice it, yet it is powerful and 100% relaible with the ammo I carry in it. The only problem I have is with Dbl Tap 200 grn ammo. I am a lefty and this ammo makes me activate the slide stop. This is no fault of the gun, but I am glad I shot some different ammo to find out what works best.

PS, I traded my 27 in for the 29 when the 10mm bug bite me and I have not regretted it. The 29 is much more comfortable to shoot and fits my hand much better than the 27.

You know you want it ...

Definitely a potent concealable little powerhouse. The G29 holds 10+1 of your favorite 10mm defensive load. :)

I think the G29 is Glock's best all around gun.

    J.Doty:

The barrel in the foreground of the photo is a Bar-Sto 10mm barrel, fitted by a local 'smith. I haven't used it much since the factory tube shoots really tight. Surprisingly so. Thought I'd use the Bar-Sto for developing reloads, but just haven't had time to go in that direction.

The only "custom" work done was the metal refinishing: Robar applied their NP3 treatment to the factory barrel, slide and slide internals. I added Trijicons, the Pearce pinky-finger extensions on the mags and Wolff's 21lb recoil spring/steel guide rod set-up. On the grips I put Decal's thin, gritty adhesive strips. These are great, aiding in control and grip-ability without adding bulk. (Got the Decals from Brownell's).

I also have a Glock 29...very versitile. For 89.95 plus shipping you can get a 40 S&W or a .357 sig Federal or better barrel and have a three in one gun. Four in one if you count the 9x23 barrel with minor extractor modifications. Sometime finding 10 mm ammo can be hard and expensive. The 40 S&W is a cheaper option.

    Bullshot ;f ;a ;a ;f

P.S. Please anyone correct me if the 9x23 is not a feasible modification for the Glock 29. I'm going on other threads that I followed on the subject.

    Thanks!!!

Thanks agtman for the reply. I don't know if I would like the 29 due to my 5th finger needing a home to really feel comfortable. I didn't really like the 36 for the same reason, even with a Pierce added. Now the 32's grip is just barely there for me, as is the 38. We need a G19,23,32,38-sized 10 MM IMHO.

Now I have heard of people shooting 9x25 Dillon with a barrel change in their glocks, but to me, this would not be a suitable barrel for a 29, unless it was a longer barrel than stock, about 3 more inches than stock I would think, gotta make the most of that velocity.

After a few years of putting it off, I pick up my G29 in the morning... have a feeling it will see a lot more carry time then my 23 will.
