ok, I finally broke down and bought a 29 to go along with my 20. All the statements about it being too heavy or too big for edc we’re not true, feels the same as my 30. The recoil is not bad at all, in fact I feel my Gen 3 27 is worse.

Love my 29 as well. Recoil isn’t that bad even with heavy loads. Now the fireball, that’s another story!

I have shot 200 grain Underwood in mine, but normal is the 155 Grain Underwood XTP round, in the woods I worry most about Humans, but Cats could be looking for a slow old man.
Mine is reasonable recoil and great accuracy, I just don't like the grip feel. Not fond of my G-20 grip feel either, but it also shoots well.
I prefer to carry my G-33 by a wide margin.

I bought a G29 a not long ago and it has the same grip extensions as yours. I love the way it shoots, so much fun and very accurate. I am waiting on an Alien Gear shoulder holster to conceal under a fly fishing vest when I'm off wandering around the high country chasing wild trout.

I did another 150 rounds through it and am amazed how accurate it is and how it fires, no worse than my 27, this is gonna replace my 19x just because of increased kE on the 10mm round

Really like my G29. Got a 4.5” kkm barrel to shoot hard cast lead Bullets. Got a 40 S&W lone wolf to shoot a bunch of lead IDPA loads. Got a g20 mag and mag sleeve

I may end up trading one of my 9mm's on G40 mos. That might put me up a deer stand or a hog hunt.

They will, but I don't think a Long period should go before a good hard cleaning is done. A steady diet of lead without scrubbing the barrel could lead to lead build up.

Maybe that works better if I write "Leed and Led"

I'm looking for ammo for woods carry in black bear territory, is there something else I should look at? Right now I'm shooting Sellier Bellot 180 grain fmj's for range practice. If I shot hardcast it would be for short term practice and for checking reliability.

To the OP, my apologies if it appears I'm hijacking your thread. :)

Most anything 10 MM would work on a Black Bear. They are not too hard to kill. I do recall a guy shot a charging black bear with his G-20 that was down loaded some, he stopped it, dead, but very close. I think that is unusual, but I have G-20 magazines with sleeves for my 29, Alien Gear crossdraw belt holster.

G29, my first 10mm 20 years +. Always nearby. Sent it to Glock last year for a refurbish, night sights. I grind down the mag release button to nothing. Friction tape the handle. + 0 Pearce extension. When I care enough to send the very best.

G29 very useful. Even so I did not neglect the others. G40 with viper red dot put Texas feral pigs in freezer. I got a kkm 7” barrel for it. My G20 is an old Gen2 war horse. I have a lone wolf 10mm cut rifling for it
