Anyone here have a Glock 28, the .380 Caliber. When did they start selling it? 10 Rounds of .380, not much lager then the Sig 238. I would appreciate your input, I have a Glock 19 & 23 and love them.

Dallas PD has some. They are in the US. :tongueout:

To the OP, G25/28...all the size and weight of a better caliber, WITHOUT THE BETTER CALIBER. I think they have been in production and avaiable outside the US for about 20+ years.

They're made for countries where you can't own military caliber weapons like the 9mm

Get a G26, same size as the G28, 10 rounds of 9mm, which is worlds better than .380, and easier to find and less expensive.

Unless you're a die hard Glock collector, I don't see the point really. :dunno:

I suggest you look up the Gun Control Act of 1968. The G28, introduced around 1996, is unlawful to import for civilian use. Law enforcement officers cannot purchase them. Only law enforcement agencies may purchase them from Glock.

Now, since the size is the exact same as a G26, the ammo more expensive and less effective than 9mm, and the recoil about the same due to the blowback design of the G28, why in the world would you want one?

Well... just because sometimes you just want something... even if it is not the most logical, rational choice.

Exactly. A G28 is exactly the same size as a G26/27/33. Unless you're sensitive to recoil it's no better than a fancy paperweight.

Being blowback the recoil will probably be worse than a 9mm Glock 26

Is it just me or has it been a while since we had one of these threads?

We used to see them all the time but I don't remember one recently.

That, my friend, summarizes everything completely. I think the only reason people desire the .380 Glocks is because we cannot get them in the US. I don't know why any LE agencies would want them, but they could get them. Perhaps if they were smaller than their 9mm counterparts, or were real sub sub compacts like a Keltec P3AT, Ruger LCP, Kahr P380 etc. I see no market in the US for a compact .380 other than the few that have been around for decades like the Walther PPK and some of the Berettas (totally spacing on the names right now!)

380 has killed alot of people in ****holes around the world. It would be kinda cool to have one IMO. No one needs more than one pistol though.
