I can say with full confidence that the MagPul's DO work in my gen5 G26. They are my CCW magazines. I prefer them to even the Glock OEM 12rd mag's.

Yup, all good - as I said, just going on something I saw on the internet, I don't have a gen 5 26. I do have a gen 4 26 and the magpul 12rd mag runs great.

I agree. I have qualified many officers with G26 & 27s. Most think that they can not control the short grips as good as the longer ones (G17,19,22,23) but the scores demonstrate otherwise. Most of the shooters present better scores with the short grip guns.

Another thing is that a lot of people will get the 26/27 and put the grip extension on the mag. This makes it similar in size to the 19/23. If you are going to end up with that size gun you might as well start with it (19/23).

Versatility is why i recommend the 26 over the 19. Want a 19 size grip, get a 19 magazine and put a grip on it . But that same gun has to hide better under some garment the next day, go back to the regular 26 mag. I still think the 26 with the finger extension is still slightly shorter than a 19 mag with angle cut that breaks up a “printing “ outline.

But you are right. I’m one of those guys who shoots the 26 with its regular magazine than my 19 for some reason.

If you compare the back / bottom of the grip - which is the part most likely to print, there is a big difference between a G19 and a G26 with a pinky extension. My experience is that my G26 with the pinky extension doesn't print any differently that with a standard base plate. The front of the grip just isn't the part that prints.

    I agree. I get slightly more printing with a Pearce +2 when I'm wearing a tighter shirt but it's a non-issue. If I use a G19 magazine I print a lot more.

I carry with the +2 99.9% of the time.

Yeah, in NY those +2 aren't an option, so that +0 pinky extension provide the extra front surface without impacting print/concealability.
