I am looking for an IWB appendix made out of Kydex that is comfortable against the skin. I have had them out of other material but never Kydex. I know a lot of people use them but I'm just wondering about the hard plastic not digging into me.

Hard plastic is hard plastic. Rounded edges are better than sharper squared edges. I use an Alabama Holster Co Appendix Holster with their "Hooker" attachment.

For that gun and carry method, I use a Blade-Tech "Klipt", here:

There's another newer model which is $10 more, but I've not tried it, as it came out subsequent to when I bought mine. I'm no polymer expert, but it doesn't say it's made from Kydex, if that makes a difference. Blade-Tech says it's made from a "precision molded material". This model is only for a right-handed carry/draw.

The newer one can be set up for either left or right handed use.

I also have a "Nano" model IWB holster, but I haven't used it in the AIWB role, but suppose it would work that way should you like the snap belt loops better.

1518385086973845036941784268582.jpg I conceal my Glock 27 in a JM Custom Kydex. Best AIWB rig that I've found that FITS ME. I used to use it for my 19/23, but I have just fell in love with the 27. The 19 is a truck gun, 23 nightstand and the 27 is my EDC.

I have used an Uncle Mike's Size 12 ITP holster for ... 10 years? And it's ready to be replaced (Kinda smells funny, still has the sweat stains from it's time in Tucson AZ)

Set me back $15.00 ... 10 years ago... VERY COMFORTABLE! Very little retention however - No way I would do a handstand with that holster on! I'd lose some teeffers for sure!

Kydex is one of my favorite materials - Very thin compared to leather, easier to clean the dust and dirt out of Kydex. The Molded Bladtechs do work, but my preference is Kydex.

I'll be checking out the Ultimate Klipt as my next AIWB candidate... thanks for the quick review!

Doing a Google search there are so many it's overwhelming. I think I want a sweat shield on the back side, adjustable cant would be nice but I think an adjustable height would be important.

CYA holsters are great, i own two of them (26&43) and I am very happy with them.

Check them out on Amazon and you will thank me for it.

For my first Kydex AIWB holster I'm not wanting to pay a lot.

I'm using a BladeTech Klipt (old style w/o the claw). It works quite nicely except that it makes the already-too-thick 26 even more obvious.

I've got a Bravo Concealment Torsion inbound. I'll post back once I've got some time wearing it.

After looking at quite a few Kydex holsters that Vedder has everything I want in an appendix holster so I am ok with the price.
