Gotta give a big +1 for the comfort of the VP9sk and P30sk. Love those adjustable side panels and back straps.

Is that legit wear? How long have you had it? How many rounds wound you guess? How do you carry it?

Less capable? I didn’t realize Sig started making 17, 19, 24, and 33 round mags for the P365?

I carry a double barrel shotgun. It’s a little fat but so what.

I’d say the wear is 60/40 natural/accelerated wear. It was the holster wear that prompted the “customization.” The gun was wearing well but very unevenly, I just evened it up. Not nearly as cool as if it had all been “natural” wear, sorry it wasn’t a better story.

I will say that this is a USA Glock and even though the finish looked like a frypan, it didn’t hold ld up like my other frypan finishes. I’m not convinced it is as wear resistant as a Austrian applied frypan finish. Maybe they are all the same I really don’t know but this one sure did wear. Still perfectly rust resistant though.

I’ve heard some of it before. It is in every way equal to any other Glock I’ve ever encountered, it’s just the finish that wore a bit more than I had expected it too. Many will poopoo my amateur finish work saying things like “natural wear is beautiful but artificial is just lame,” but I don’t care...I like it and mine looks different from anyone else’s. So neener.

    Congrats on getting a G26.

Hope you’re hanging on to that 642 though!

For the purposes of this discussion, the 26 and 27 are essentially equivalent. It's about the size and weight, combined with reliability and versatility. I'm not a fan of the 27 (hurts my hand), but if it's your gun, good on ya. If this was my post, I would have titled it "Glock 26/27 is the best..."

I like Glocks, and I am enjoying my Glock 19. But, I had a Glock 26 back in the 1990s. I carried it for 8 years, starting when they very first came but, I never really liked that gun Later, I have owned so many subcompacts of other brands... Some I liked more than others. But, I like compact guns much more than subcompacts.

I carried an HK P2000 for 5.5 years, and I just made the switch to a Glock 19 last month. I like that size gun MUCH more than something like the 26. So, the 26 is not the perfect carry gun to me.

Glock 26/27 is the best subcompact double stack pistol on the market currently.

I am loving my G19 and G34... But, out of all the subcompacts I owned, the HK P2000sk was easily my all time favorite. But, I finally sold it in Jan because I just never carried it. The slightly larger P2000 was my main carry gun. Honestly, they both printed about the same.

The 26 is why I never felt the need or desire to get a 43.

I have both the 26 and 43, the 26 gets the most carry time.

Still opinion. But if it is your favorite, that is fine... I am a glock fan too, but I like some models more than others.

The backstrap was too short on the Glock 26, even with the grip extension plate in the bottom of the mag (that only increases the front strap). I had the same issue with the Walther P99 compact. I like the just slightly longer grip of the Hk P2000sk more.

I've owned duplicates of some (3 different M&P Shields over the years). But, I think I've had maybe 7 or 8 different subcompact models/brands. I still like the HK over anything else

I have carried many handguns but the one I always come back to is the G26.3. I purchased a 365 looking for a dual purpose ccw / pocket gun but I haven't developed the level of trust for it like I have the legendary G26. My most carried guns in order are the G26 followed by the G19.4 followed by the Sig P225A1. Then, when I need a pocket gun, the 365.
