Is it possible to just swap barrels and mags to shoot 40's out of a glock 26? Has anyone tried this?
No. The 26's slide opening for the barrel is too small for a .40 barrel, and IIRC, the barrel lugs are also different.
You can take a .40 or a 357 sig and put a 9mm aftermkt bbl in- A Glock 26 bbl WON'T work. The outside Dia is too small on a Glock'26 bbl.
I got a Storm Lake 9mm bbl and put it in my '27, use '9mm mags and it runs flawlessly. I did go to a Glock adjustable rear sight- the elevation POI changes between the 2 cals for me...I'm thinkin' I need a 357 sig bbl now...hmmmm....
<begin shameless plug> I happen to have a complete set for this exact purpose for sale in the appropriate forum on Glock Talk by the way <end shameless plug>
