My dad has a Glock 24L gen 1 gun. Obviously it is old. But he has a ton of mags and other accessorizes with it. We are just trying to figure out what its work. I know with out pic's its hard, but just a base line would be nice.

    Thanks in advance

    Is it a 17L (9mm) or a 24 (.40s&w)? The 24L name is not a standard Glock model name.

I don't think the 24 was made until gen2. Not many were compensated and they would be a 24C. Never heard of a 24l. The "l" moniker was only used on the 17 since glock didn't give it it's own number.

Are there ports in the barrel were the slide relief is cut? Is the front of the grip smooth with no serrations.
Put up some pics. Need to see what your dad really has if you want a estimate of what it's worth.

I just spoke with him in the phone. 24l is the wrong designation. Its just a 24. I bought it around 1995 and it was brand new then. It has no rail but does have the slide cut out and the barrel is ported

24C. They're nice. Got mine slightly used for about $600 with an additional 22C upper a couple years ago..

I bought my Gen 3 G24 new in the summer of 2011. I was so excited I didn't mind that I felt like I was paying a little too much for it, I would have liked to have picked it up for $600.00 or less. It was marked on the box at $621.95. They were selling them so fast that there was no room for negotiation. It's only money, right?

A complete Glock 24C and a spare G22C upper for $600? Heckuva deal!

I recently picked-up a lightly used G24C, and I'm really enjoying it. It's very mild-mannered, and I'm looking forward to shooting a steel plate or bowling pin match with it.

Now I just have to find a semi-local pin match...
