Long time lurker here, and after 15 years of happy glocking I have an issue.

Yesterday I went to install a new Warren front tritium sight on my Glock 24C slide but my Ed Brown sight tool would NOT fit in the front sight access hole to drive the nut. The tool was just a tiny bit too large. So I went to the local fun shop and even a Glock factory sight tool was a bit too large.

I now noted that the Ed Brown tool actually states " will not fit 6"slides"

Does anyone know a tool that will fit the slightly smaller hole?

    Thanks in advance!

Also, what front sights do you run on a 24 C? The warren sight I was trying to install hangs over the comp cutout. So the Warren sights will be going on another glock. Anyone know of a night sight that doest hang over the edge of the cut out?

A front night sight on a G24C will stay clean for about 2 shots and then becomes a plain black sight until you stop and clean it.

An Arotek, Ameriglo or factory Glock front sight tool will fit through the hole.

Thanks for the quick reply guys!

I was expecting the sight to get carbon coated just like the plastic sight does, but for HD I wasn't too concerned but now might reconsider. I will have to get the aro tek or see if a local smith has one.

In all the years, I never read about the different diameters. Great pics Butch.

anyone have a favorite non tritium that actually doesn't hang over the cutout? The Warrens are going on a 34 now.

    Thanks

Ok, one more issue. Is there a "compact" front night sight that will NOT hang over into the compensator cut out? Ameriglo tritium front sights DO, as do the Warren Tactical.

So who makes the most compact ( in stem to stern length) tritium front sight??

Have been here since 1999, this is my first problem I needed help with. Gotta love the platform!

Ameriglo makes a luminescent front sight called a Luma dot. It's really bright and may be close to standard size. You will have to ask Rick at Ameriglo. Send an e-mail to sales@ameriglo.com
