I put a lanyard ring on my 1911 when I changed from the arched mainspring housing to the flat one. But I'm old school and I like 1911's in the original GI configuration. I also have a Smith and Wesson Lend-lease M&P with British proof marks that was missing the lanyard ring and I managed to one and put it on that gun.

I think lanyard rings are high on the "cool" factor, and they don't hurt anything, and the one on the G19x can actually be used with paracord if needed for some reason. If I were carrying a gun in a boat and was worried about capsizing tying the gun to my belt might be a good precaution. And if Glock would make the G19x in Black I'd buy one today and I'd leave the lanyard ring on it. It's actually one of the things I like about the G19x

Pinchy, Pinchy, Wiggly, Wiggly. --Just not the same thing as being part of the gun and it also make your spare mags heavier and more bulky.

was innovative in 1983 but has been in stasis ever since...to which I say, "If it isn't broke, don't fix it".

I'm interested in seeing how you managed the end of the dust cover/slide relationship. Can you post a pic? What I see looks like nice work.

are you referring to the front of the slide? Or are you referring to the rail?

Just 3 mods make it happen, shave back the area before the front rails, cut down a gen4 gen3 style recoil rod from NDZ proformance and cut the front rail back to 19/23 length. Uses a stock g22 barrel. I'm sending a stock length g22 and stock length g22 40-9 barrel in to be threaded to complete my modular build. Benefits to the gen 4 22 frame is larger barrel locking lug and stronger locking block, a truly timed/tuned slide travel, uses any mags without a mod and lots of aftermarket parts available.

In your parts drawing above, the dust cover is the part of the frame in between #'s 16 & 20. It covers the recoil spring and keeps dust out.

What I'd like is a pic of the muzzle end, slide in the frame. I'm interested in how the slide fits in/fills up the recoil spring tunnel.

I like your efforts. Are you going also with a .357 SiG barrel to finish the trifecta?

That area is referred to as the front frame/rail. It matches perfect as long as you know how to use a dremel 20180830_175705.jpg

Very nice. Thanks for the pic. Nothing like a weapon to suit your own tastes and preferences. What sights will you use?
