does the front sight black out easily on a 23c after a lot of shooting?
Havnt cleaned my 19C since who knows when, no issue here! I'm running the factory glock sights. It's dirty as hell but the sights are good to go.
I have no experience with this but was told by a very reliable source that it can, but this will vary depending on the type of front sight you have and the type of ammo you're shooting. In other words, some combinations are worse than others.
If it gets dirty just wipe with your thumb.
Nothing that alcohol on q-tip can't solve.
I recently bought a 23c, first range trip... It took about 125-150 rounds fired before I noticed it darkened a little. Quick wipe with a rag and your good to go again. its not a big deal at all unless you have bad eye sight or something i guess. But other then that I think the C models are really underrated by internet rumors of how they can burn you and blind your vision, I personally think the glock 40 cal C models definitely benefit from the ports. If you end up not liking you could get a regular barrel and drop it in.
Quick wipe and go, I have a XS Big Dot front sight and I can still see the front night sight after 500 rounds but can also notice the residue. Heck this isnt really that big of an issue becaue some people prefer all black sights and depending on your backdrop. Glcok 23C awesome pick, I miss mine.
I guess I'm one of the few that's hasnt had an issue.
In my experience, it depends on the ammo. But, as other have said, it wipes off.
Black out easily after a lot of shooting? On my 23c I occasionally rub a finger or cloth across the front sight. I wouldn't say it blacks out easily, though.
^ this. I have a 23c. after about 150 rounds of dirty cheap ammo the front sight will get a little dirty. I don't even use a rag I just wipe it off with my thumb and get back to shooting. Really not a big deal.
