I had an unsettling range session today in that I experience 3 light primer strikes with the G23 in 40 S&W today. The strikes were off center and I was shooting fast follow up shots. Used Winchester White Box 165 gn ammunition. I annully detail clean the firing pin channel and perform routine cleaning of the gun after range sessions. All parts are Glock stock OEM. This gun is 4 years old and has < 3000 rounds through it.

Any insight into possible mechanical problems outside of cleaning. The firing pin moves back and forth when depressing the firing pin saftey on the slide as well as when the trigger is depressed when the gun is fully assembled.

    Thanks

    Satch

Winchester USA or WinClean, which is known for light primer strikes? Both come in a white box.

Since you were shooting fast, and with quality ammo, you may have been applying some thumb pressure against the side of the slide without realizing it.
