I just got a G19 for my CCW and love it. Thinking of getting a G23 also for CCW. Anyone out there own and carry a G23? Pros/cons would be great!
Pics even better!! G27 grip pushed me up to the compact, maybe with a pearce grip on the G27 would be better.

I'm like a dizzy blonde, I can't ever make up my mind between my G26, G27 or G23 so I just do the rotation thing. They are all top notch and will do their job if I do mine.

Well have you shot, and do you like, .40S&W? Seeing as how the 19 and 23 are otherwise identical that is the real question. Myself I'm sticking with 9mm for now.

I have shot the .40. Nice and I had a compact RIA .45 for awhile, very accurate gun but heavy for EDC. I shoot the G19 just fine just had a thought for more KD power but +P's in the g19 would do the job I reckon. Hello ther loxahatchee I'm nearby in lake worth bud. And I am blond, how'd ya know:rofl:23,27,19 oh heck I can't choose!:dunno:As long as it's a glock I'm happy.

G19 is the best EDC. I have tried virtually all the Glocks as EDC. The G19 always seems to win in the end. Even at the range, I can shoot 3 inch groups at 25 yards consistently. I can not consistently do that with the others. What makes me especially happy about this is that what gun can be everyday carry, AND also shoot the best out of all the tools in the box

I started out carrying my 19 then a few months later I bought a 23 and its been my CCW ever since. I shoot it better for some odd reason so its on my hip as I type.Good luck with your decision!

As I mentioned I shot the .45 compact very well that made me start thinking of the g23 over the g19. seem to shoot the larger calibers more accurately for some reason. The best thing about the 1911 I had was the trigger.

I CC both alot. Those two guns as well as the G26 and G27 make it into my CC rotation quite a bit.

I have both and each is rotated into my carry options. There is little doubt that the 23 has sharper recoil, but, when you weigh it against 124 gr. +p in 9mm, recoil gets closer.

I personally feel better carrying the 23 because I prefer the larger caliber, but follow up shots do take me longer. Since they are exactly the same size, concealment is no different. However, a loaded 23 does feel heavier to me than a loaded 19.

Funny you mention shooting the bigger calibers better. I recently started shooting .45(1911) and shoot it just as accurately as .40 if not better. Maybe the 23 will work for you as well I know its a match made in heaven for me.

Anytime I get out of this horrible state of California, and go back home to Indiana, my G23 is on my hip. It gets a little harder to conceal in the summer with just a t-shirt on, but once I start wearing hoodies, jackets or whatever else during the winter I love it. I have Trijicon Night Sights and threw on some Crimson Trace grips last summer too. It jammed a few times when I first bought it, but I'm pretty sure I was limp wristing it. I typically practice with Winchester white box ammo, and carry with Gold Dots. Here's a pic.

I cannot legally CCW, but if I could, the G23 would be at the top of my choices.

My EDC is a gen3 G23 in a $30 Galco Tuck-n-go at 2:00 on a Looper belt. The belt has a Kydex liner although it's not required with that holster. It took a little adjustment after carrying a G26 for two years. About the only difference really is that I have to sometimes give the gun a discrete little "lift" on the muzzle when I sit down. No one seems to notice so far. It's comfortable and works for me.
