Let my brother borrow my g22 and being the good and responsible guy that he is he decided to clean it before bringing back. When reassembling the slide to the frame he only got the slide on the back frame rails and not the front. Now it is stuck - will not move forwards or backwards. Any suggestions?

(BTW- let the tounge lashing begin...I know it's coming)

    1. Make sure it's unloaded.

    2. Get a piece of two by four wood and a hammer.

    3. You can't very well put it in a vise so have a friend, or your brother, hold the pistol.

    4. Place the piece of wood at the rear of the slide and hit the wood with a hammer. It should pop off. (Do #4 close to a carpeted floor)

Aint no lashing coming from here. At my former department, during transition training, an officer got a slide stuck on a G22 frame ....

HE WAS TRYING TO PUT THE SLIDE ON BACKWARDS!!

(Yeah, STUPID crosses all parts of society .... officers too!)
