    good day BOGs,

I recently purchased a second hand glock 22, And even before i purchased the pistol i did some research on it, Good thing because i was able to discover BOGS!;a

I would like to ask the opinion of the experts regarding ammo for the glock 22, because i saw alot of articles about kb's of glocks chambered in 40 caliber. What ammo can i use for practice? I am aware that lead reloads should not be used in glocks. HOw about teflon reloads? because the previous owner of my glock also gave me 100 rounds of reloaded teflon ammo.

Thanks in advace for the replies! i would really appreciate it.

    More power to the BOGs!!

I think that it is much better or more importantly, safer to use jacketed bullets.Another option is that you can also get an aftermarket barrel for your gun if you intend to use lead bullets.

PS.By the way,Welcome to the Band Of Glockers forum.

Well, before when I still had my Glock 19 and 35,I got my aftermarket barrels from KKM and had them sent to a friend of mine in the U.S.A. who has LNL(Lakas ng loob). When he came here to visit the Philippines,he brought the barrels with him.You can try True Weight gun store.Once in a while, they carry aftermarket barrels(KKM or BAR-STO)for Glocks.

Thanks for the info! But if it's gonna cost me an arm and a leg i would rather buy fmj ammo for practice;f

The teflon bullets are fine. In fact some of the other BOGs use teflon. In my opinion, after you use up the 100 teflon rounds, move to FMJ.

    Welcome to the BOGs

In fact, that's also what I would do.Even when I had the aftermarket barrels for my Glocks,I was still using fmj ammo.Don't like the taste of lead.

I wouldn't use any reloads unless I rolled it myself. But if you really know the seller personally and you trust his work go ahead use it.

    IMO,

i got my kkm for the g19 for about $165 last year, check the websites so you'll have an idea of the current price if you see a local seller.

TMJ is another less expensive option, two pesos each lang plus cost of reload.

True Weight offers TMJ's for your reloads.

    Thanks for all the replies!!

This is actually my first glock and my first 40 caliber pistol.
I started out with the 9mm taurus pt111, then eventually got hooked in the range, sold the 9mm bought an armscor 45 hicap, then i bought my g22! i was very happy with my 22 now, coz i shoot better with it.

thanks for the tips BOGs!! I think i'll probably play it safe and use factory fmj's:)

Is it ok to use the armscor .40 fmj?

I would really klike to join BOGs in the range one of these days, just don't know where;f .

    Thanks again!!

sir, using fmj is good but it doesn't HAVE to be factory loads. it would be much cheaper to have reloads. if you want quality reloads have judge do it for you . . . or reccah ;)
