I have a Glock 22. I believe it is a gen. 2. serial # starts with AFA. My father bought it new and he never fired it. I have put about 200 rounds through it with no problem. Should I upgrade to an aftermarket barrel or spring and if so what brands do you recommend?

You can identify a Gen2 gun if it has checkering between the finger groves.
At 200 rounds, the gun is brand new. At 5,000 rds I would consider it broke in.
What is it you hope to accomplish by installing aftermarket parts?

I'm wondering if a good aftermarket barrel would be more accurate and have better case head support.

Sure, you will get more cartridge support with an aftermarket barrel but that really only matters to reloaders.
You can also get better accuracy however results will vary for sure. If you are shooting 6 inch groups at 25 yds and hope that purchasing an aftermarket barrel will reduce the groups to 1 inch.... you probably are looking for a magic bullet!
If you have the ability to shoot 1 inch groups with other handguns you have something to build on with your Glock.
