What kind of accuracy and reliability can I expect from a Glock 21?
AHHH! How well can you hold the sight picture and squueeeeze the trigger???
As long as you use good ammo, Glocks are ultra reliable!!!!
Well, like, don't tread on me, said above... just point and shoot!
my 21 is a second generation, glass beaded slide, and smooth as silk.
but.... that is really not "the reason" it is a great shooter.
like any other gun, it takes practice, and more practice.
but i get bored shooting through the same hole at 7 yards, and close to the same accuracy at 15 yards.... and so far, that has been with "any kind of ammo," i have fed through it.
i have never had a stove pipe, and misfire, a 'glitch,' of any kind.
in fact, i really do not see any 'buldging brass from mine.'
i believe you will like it. if you like 45's.
reliability ?....... as i mentioned above....
as far as that? I do not throw it out windows or run over it, or bury it in mud... just take care of it, like you would any other firearm, and it will serve you well... probably even if you do the above to it!
About the same as you would expect from a Rolex watch!
Nuff said ! Glock on.
When I first took my brand new, fresh out of the box 21 to the range, the choices I had for distance were 7 yards 15 yards and 25 yards. I pushed the button to send the target out to 7 yards to start small, being a new gun and all, and then I figured what the heck, I'll go for broke. Sent the target all the way out to 25 yards. That's 75 feet, and it looked FAR away. Long story short, I loaded the gun, raised it up, lined up the sights with the center of the target, and fired a shot. Wouldn't you know it but I put a hole RIGHT IN THE CENTER OF THE CENTER RING. It could not have been more of a bullseye! Some guys looked at me like I had just performed a magic trick.
I shot 100 rounds that time and had some pretty good groups. But that first shot, man oh man that was something. There's nothing like it.
The .45 is a very accurate cartridge and the 21 is a particularly accurate gun.
Accuracy comes with practice, reliability, well, it's a Glock...nuff said...
FWIW, My Glock 21 was my 1st handgun waaay back in 1998 and it shot (and still shoots) more accurately then me. .45 caliber Glocks boast octogonal rifling and this greatly contributes to their remarkable accuracy. I'm saving for a G36.....;c
Umm....its a Glock. It SHoots Great! The only thing I have that outshoots it is my Kimber. But I carry my G21, actually its one my hip now
speer gold dots hit bowling pins at 50 yards very well out of my G21c
