    Hey gang,
I'm about to start using my Glock 21 & 17 for I.D.P.A. matches, and wanted to take an informal poll/get suggestions on what sights you folks are using. I've always used straight black target sights on my 1911's, but have considered a fiber optic or night sight for my I.D.P.A. Glocks...I use Ameriglo Operators on my 19 & 23 for carry. I've also considered an adjustable sight, but have never really cared for any. Thanks for any info...just wanted to see what some of you are using for matches!

Night sights are seldom much help where I shoot IDPA. Fiber optics are common. I usually use a red FO front and a plain black rear of whatever make is already on the gun.

I use the stock sights for IDPA and IPSC on my G21 and G34... when I use the G30 in IDPA, I have Mep night sights, but that is because it is my carry gun.

I might be putting some night sights on only for the low light stages that are getting more popular in the local matches I am doing... but other than that, haven't found a need for anything more than the stock sights.

I thought about trying the Heinie sights, but would rather try them on somebody elses gun first to see if they make any difference...

I considered getting a fiber sight setup, until I saw 2 of them melt on a rather large round count stage. Of course, they could have just been cheap fiber sights, but kinda turned me off to them. Who knows, might try time one day.

If I were you, just stick with the stock sights for now, and see if you need / want something else. Don't try to fix what you are not sure is broken... maybe find somebody that has the fancier sights and try thier gun...

I use buried Bomars on my comp guns. My close second choice is Race Cut heinies.

Dawson adjustable target rear and fiber optic front, great sight picture like the Heinies but with the advantage of being able to dial in your point of impact.

I just bought some Mepro adjustables for $115. If you are interested in fixed Mepro greens, I have some I would sell for $50 shipped.

May I ask where did you get them? And if they fit the G34?

    Thanks...:)

I got the fixed mepros for my Glock 21 from my local gun shop - Discount Firearms. I got the adjustables from Glock Doctor in Arizona - also known as Desert Scorpion on this board.

Hehehe...too cool foro school. Cheers buddy.

BTW, did you use a sight tool to do the sights or you just punch them out and then in? How about the front one, is it screw on type? And the old one just yank it out?
