Just picked one up new ($ 549) finally got it out. There is a huge difference with the porting. it was like shooting a Glock 22. 100 remington umc's 180's and 40 175 silvertips. No problems-shoots like a target gun. Anyone now how much velocity reduction generally with the porting??

Congratulations on the G20. I'm not a big fan of porting, but the G20 is a great full size pistol.

I also have a glock 20c and it is the best pistol for me, I really love my baby and she loses about 100 fps vs. non ported

That seems like a lot to lose from those tiny ports. I plan on getting a 6" non ported barrel for my serious work with mine anyway. I bought my G20CC mainly for the 3.5 lb connector, extended slide release, and adjustable sights (all for $540, not bad), not the ported barrel. I will try to chrono the difference of .40 S&W rounds through my stock ported barrel and my Federal Arms conversion barrel when I get a chance to see for myself.
