In the past I've had no problem loading a full 10 round clip in my gun. Now it won't take it. It won't seat properly, it pops out a little bit and takes a few smacks to get it to stay in. If I load nine it's fine. If I have the slide open it's ok. Both clips are the same way.
    Any suggestions?

Just smack them in and keep shooting.

You need to slap them in anyhow - gently putting in the magazine, especially a full magazine, is a good way to fail to seat it and cause malfunctions. I saw some inexperienced shooters do it repeatedly in a 3-gun match last Sunday.

If your gun isn't holding the same magazines as well as it used to, it is probably due to wear on either the magazine release or on the indent in the magazine that catches the release. It probably isn't as sharp as it used to be, so it isn't forgiving a failure to really slap the mag in anymore. It probably doesn't require repair - just a proper magazine seating slap.
