Welcome, and congrats on the G20! Come on over to the 10 Ring. It's a forum in GlockTalk dedicated to the 10mm Auto. Here's a link:

You are right, both the G20, and Glock in general, are awesome. The G20 is one of Glock's best guns. And 10mm is amazing. I am an absolute 10mm nut. Congrats again, and welcome. You made the right choice!

You'll really be happy when you see the range you can get 10mm in. From lame to lightening. A VERY adaptable caliber. I had a G20 and G29 a few years back and thoroghly enjoyed them both. Then hard times hit and I was forced to deal 'em away. I had a 6" barrel for the G20 that really topped it off! Try out the 230gr WFNGC Hardcast from Double Tap. Then try their 135gr Nosler. You'll be all smiles. I guarantee! Even with the smaller G29 the Glock design handles the recoil pretty well if you're not overly sensitive to that.

I bought my first G20 in 1991 right after getting back from desert storm.

kept it for many years then sold it. I had regretted selling it not long after but I kept telling my self it was too big and didn't fit my hand properly.

Well Glock took that excuse away from me with the SF frame so when the G20 SF came out I've been a happy camper ever since.

One thing I've been doing with the new G20 SF is compiling a ammo list by chronograph testing. I share it with everyone.

Welcome to GT and welcome to the list of 10mm shooters. I've only had mine about a month, so I'm practically a 10mm newbie. Not a newbie to Glock, however, as the G20 was number 10 for me at this point. I can't get over how accurately the gun shoots, even with the crap-o-matic stock Glock sights. It's like it's on autopilot. What seemed like a lot of recoil has now become nothing more than a hot .40 to me now. I, as one of many, feel like you made an awesome choice in which to initiate yourself into Glockdom. Welcome, and enjoy!

Awesome. Its a do-all caliber if you ask me. You can plink with it, or load up rounds that will thump. You can always shoot 10mm shorts through it also by getting a .40 barrel. Im impressed you got a 10mm as your first, not gonna be much you need after this; maybe a G19 there nice little guns.

Congrats on the G20 Ordman72!

The Glock 20 is one of the finest handguns made in my opinion. If it fits you then you should have one.
Wish I had got mine many years ago.
That is what I said, after shooting the first 50 rounds.

The G20 is a serious ass-kicker. However, it does take a little effort to achieve perfection.... :whistling:

What kind of mag release is that?
T.H.E. mag release. I like it. It was brass, but got NP3+ along with everything else.
