I think I already know the answer to the following question, and it is buried deep in the well of ATF regulations; but please allow me to ask nevertheless....

Did, does, GLOCK make a OEM +2 magazine extension for G30 (or the G21 for that matter)? IF GLOCK makes a +2 for the G21, will that extension fit and function on the G30 mags?

Most folks like the comfort of an extra couple of rounds. Just like my G26, a +2 Glock extension makes the grip feel just right for me, and does not inhibit my concealed carry needs. IF it did, I'd just bolt the whole rig on right up front and be done with it. I guess they could call that carrying naked? Down heah, we call we open carry.

Seriously, what are the actual facts concerning the question posed in paragraph 2 above....

    thanks...

    {hey W-GA. how the onions doing this year?}

If you need more rounds you can use a Glock 21 magazine in the Glock 30. They even make an extension sleve for it so the magazine mates nicely with the grip. Even with the Glock 21 mag its still easy to conceal.

To the best of my knowledge, Glock doesn't offer a plus-anything extension for the G20/21/29/30 mags, so using the longer mag in the shorter gun (with or without mag sleeves) is your only option UNLESS you want to try aftermarket extensions. (Walter raises onions? I would have pegged him for chile peppers! ;) )

Glockmeister makes the best +2 for G21 or the 9rd G30 mag. I use these along with Pearce and Lone Wolf.

I also have a G30 and wish Glock made a +2 extension. I do have a G21 mag in my collection. What is the baseplate mentioned that makes it fit better on the 30?

    L to R -

    1. Pearce grip PG29 for G29 (fits G30 nine round mag) - on G30 nine round mag BTW

    2. Newer Pearce grip pg1045+ (+2 on G30 nine round mag (also fits G29 mag as +2)

    3. Pearce PG30 on G30 ten round mag (does NOT fit G30 nine round mag OR G29 mag)

    L to R -

    1. Glockmeister 45+2 on G30 nine round mag (gap present when used on G30 ten round mag)

    2. Newer Pearce grip pg1045+ (+2 on G30 nine round mag (also fits G29 mag as +2)

    3. Pearce PG30 on G30 ten round mag (does NOT fit G30 nine round mag OR G29 mag)

Lone Wolf offers a similar .45 +2 to this one that has a half way decent retaining insert in the bottom that seems to work well and can be added to the G30 nine round mag -

It looks very similar to this when mounted on the G30 nine round mag.

This is the Newer Pearce grip pg1045+ (+2) on G30 nine round mag (L) vs Pearce PG30 on G30 ten round mag (R).

I find the Pearce pg1045+ on the G30 nine round mag (as pictured) makes the grip too long for my taste, as the Pearce PG30 shown on the G30 ten round mag here is much more comfortable overall to me.

Personally, I prefer and have always found the Pearce PG30 on G30 ten round mag to work the BEST of all of them. I used to carry a G21 hi-cap either as is (13 rounds) or w/ a LW or GM +2 on them (for 15 rounds) but I find them too tall, even the standard G21 mag as is (13 rounds).

I am considering just carrying a standard G30 ten round mag with the Pearce PG30 on it now for a spare mag with the gun, as it seems to be the most comfortable way all around between my grip on the gun it's self, and also a spare mag to carry comfortably and easily? Your mileage may vary.................

    Hope this helps -

I also think the PG30 fits better. Its textured to match the fingergrooves. It feels very much like the 19s I carried.

The 13 round as a backup is a good idea as well...with or without a sleeve.
