How do you like the 19X vs the 45 or other gen 5 Glocks?

    I like mine.

I honestly would have been just as happy with a Gen 5 17. The little extra barrel length wouldn't have bothered me a bit, even for carry.

It's unique in a few ways. There's been rumors of Glock discontinuing the 19X, but I believe it won't happen anytime soon. I find it more interesting than the G45, mainly because I like the color.

My son has one and it’s a nice looking Glock but I didn’t like the holster wear I’ve seen on posted pics of others. I like the size for IWB appendix carry where the slide length would make a difference to me.

I like them, owned two. Just didn’t really have a place for them. The few times I ccw’d the ones I had I felt like I had a yardstick printing under my shirt. That, and I absolutely hate the ambi slide-stop.

Decided to stick with my standard 19s.

I like mine a lot. Yes it is unique and I like the color, night sights and 19 round mags. It balances real nice in the hand. I want a coyote tan crossover in 10mm.

Like mine shoots great. I just don't ever carry it. I jumped face first into all the hype. Then the G45 came out...... bought it too. Both are great guns but my Old G17 is carried more. Your take will be different. Glock doesn't make a bad pistol in my opinion so ya gotta find what works for you. The only draw back of the 19X is the color.

I’m one of the ones who never understood the draw of the shorter slide although I have wondered if it would help with some of the issues I’ve had with weak loads in my G34 with a RDS. The short slide and long grip makes zero sense to me for carry.

I like mine. I bought it two weeks before the Glock 45 was announced. If I had known that was available, I might have waited. However, I I like it, I just wish it could take a Gen5 mag.

I love mine. I like unique glocks, and it’s performance is second to none. I have gen 2’s, 3’s, and 4’s, and the Gen 5 glocks are awesome.

I do carry mine aiwb, and the 4” barrel makes a difference.

That being said, a 17, will always be a 17. I imagine the gen 5 17 is pretty darn sweet.

If I change the baseplate it’s not the same mag, is it?

It’s better for IWB appendix for me over my 17.

I think the 45 is a better choice.

I like mine so much I have two of them. One for CCW and one for Suppressor use.

    However, I’ve been carrying my Glock 19, Gen 5 with a S&W 640 357 Magnum 5 Shot, primarily.

I just acquired a Generation 2, CAA Gear MCK for use with the Glock 19X, also.

As for shooting the Glock 19X, I like the capacity, the trigger, and the balance. Surprisingly for me, I shot my Glock 19X against my Glock 34 Gen 4, Glock 17 Gen 4, Glock 30, Glock 19 Generation 4, and I shot the Glock 19X faster and more accurately against a timer scored on IDPA targets.

I never tried the Glock 19, Gen 5 vs the Glock 19X, but I’d guess it would be the same. The finish is ok. I haven’t had too many issues with it wearing. But if I had to o it again, I would do a G45 because I prefer the Black finish and forward serrations.

To each is to his own! I have a Gen5 45 MOS so I just can’t find it in my heart for a 19X. Shares Mags with my 17,34,17L, RMR ready what’s not to love!
