    BIG choice to make. Do I purchase a Glock 19? If I do purchase a Glock 19 do I get a Gen 3 or Gen 4? I already have a Glock 17 and a Glock 26. Also have a Glock 20.

Either! I have both and both have been flawless. I do think the shorter frame of the Gen 4 is more ergonomic for my hand and I really like the Gen 4 grip texture and the larger mag release.

I agree. Both my gen3 and gen4 G19's are perfect, but I prefer the fit and feel of the gen4 frame.

I own both, so either would make a great choice. I have had no problems out my gen 3 nor 4. If I had to choose one I would go with the 4 just because of the extra mag. Other than that they are both great pistols to own.

What are you using it for? I have a gen 4 17 I use for duty and carry concealed in cooler weather. Also have a gen 3 19 for summer months. I much prefer the gen 4. Feels like shooting a .22

I have 3 Gen 4's. 17 FDE, 19 and 26. Prefer the grip, texture and extra mag that comes with the Gen 4's.

Do you own any pistols besides Glocks? You could consider a little variety. If you don't already own one, a decent .22LR pistol is lots of fun and pays for itself real fast in the money you save on ammo.

I like Glocks fine, but they aren't the only horses in the parade.

    I have 2 g4 19s that run fine. I now prefer g4 over g3.

    horseboss45,

I have a Gen 3, G19 & love it! but since you are in the market to purchase a new Glock I'd purchase the latest version Gen 4 just to have the latest upgrades.

    Good luck

I agree a .22 has alot going for it. I would be happy with a G34 which I like better than the G17 and a G26 which for me is a bit easier to carry than the G19 as my only Glocks.

I don't find it hard to CCW my 17 with the 26 in an ankle holster. The idea of a Glock 34 is an interesting idea I had not thought about. Have to give that some thought.

I love my Glock 19 Gen 4. Had to get a new extrator and the new recoil spring. It still throws brass in my face sometimes, but I really like the pistol.
