I have all 4 mentioned plus some more.
From all those mentioned I carry the G23!
G30 was too bulky and heavy for me.
G26 I do carry periodically with Speer Gold Dot 124 gr +P
G19 was what I use to carry and is what I practice at the range with
G36 I shoot periodically and is about the same size as the 23 so basically
I carry the G23 with 13 plus 1 rounds of .40 Federal HST 165gr.
I will stay away from the ballistics argument but .40 seems to work pretty well.

For primary ccw- the G-26 is an excellent choice. The other ones cannot go to a two finger-sized grip to a 33 round happy stick.

How tall are you, how much do you weigh? If you're a bigger guy, I'd go with the Glock 19 or 30, if you're a little dude, I'd get the 26...

19 has the most bang for the buck are far as round capacity without a mag sticking out of the grip...

I like and carry the G26 most of those three.

I like the G36 because it is so light weight, thin and very concealable. If you need to get it out of your holster in a hurry the grip is just the right length to get a good grip on. Seven rounds of .45 cal. should work well for a defensive round, as long as you practice drawing and shooting it often.

Hello:

I've got a 17, 34, 26, 23, and 30 (all Gen Threes), and I've found myself really liking this G23 and have been carrying it since April. Usually carry a old model Smith 60 .38 snub (1970's) or an LCP as a backup.

Have always been a .45 fan but this 23 is just perfect for me; carry a spare G22 mag. I can carry it in the hot summer with shorts and shirt.

The G30 is a great gun but I've found it just a little heavy although I will carry it in winter with a Looper pancake holster.

I do all my "heavy" shooting, range work, hunting, target practice with the 34 and even predator hunt with it in the winter. Coyotes with a Glock 34 and AK 47 are a blast.

I've found that just the fact of shooting a lot has improved my performance on even the other calibers. Have fired a little over 5,000 rounds this year.

The 34 has Dawson Precision sights on it and the front sight was selected to give me a "dead on" hit at 50 yards. I'm bout 1.5 inches high at 25.

Man I love these glocks.

A person of your size may want to shy away from the sub compacts. But only you can make that determination by handling them and see what feels best. A 30 is completely concealable but so is a 21 in the right holster....I like having 11 rnds of 230 gr each ready to go down range....
