I have meprolight three dot night sights currently on my 3rd Gen 19. Im having an issue focusing on the front sight at times with the 2 dot rear sight.
Im looking to possibly switch to a blacked out rear sight and a tritium front sight. Any suggestions? Also if I did just switch out the rear sight would there be a height issue between the front and rear?

    Thanks in advance!

You should be able to get a plain Ameriglo rear that would work with your front sight.

ok thank you I will check it out. What about the Warren tactical and henie sights? Are those just sold as rear sights and would they work with my front sight?

I run Warrens on a few guns and like them a lot. You can buy just the rear, but no, it won't work with your front. The Heinies would be hit or miss trying to work with your front. You may want to just sell your sights and buy a new set. Here's a pic of the Warren Tacticals.

Try some black tape on the ones you have first to see if it helps.

Oh it absolutely would. For some reason my eyes have trouble focusing on the front sight at further distances if I have the 2 dot rear. At closer distances I dont have as much of a issue.

This, but if you want to keep your front sight and use the plain rear Ameriglo it will work.

I've kept the factory rear Glock sights on my two Glocks, I did change the fixed rear on the 17L for an adjustable one & went with a Dawson Front on the 17L & an Hi-Viz on the 26 & am very happy with both sight pictures.. My eye & focus is drawn to the fiber optic..

You guys are giving some great suggestions. Idk why, but Im leaning towards the warren sight set. I hear they are just phenomenal sights.

Is this a carry gun, and if so, what type of sights are you looking to get? Do you want night sights, fiber optic, or just a brass bead?

For my personal carry guns, and even my G17, I went with the 24/7 Big Dot Tritium Express Sights by XS Sight Systems. They're a little different than you're traditional style sights, but the front sight is super easy to pick up, and they're really easy to get used to.

    Just another option.

Mostly a range gun. I live in IL :crying:
I prefer a Tritium insert, but I am open to suggestions.
I do like the Henie and Warren style of sights.
    Any experience with the Henie's?

I had the same problem as you. I sent my slide in to Tooltech Gunsight. They charged me something like $5 a ring, and this was the result. Original sights were Trijicon with white dots. They used a special paint mixed with epoxy so it would hold up as good as the original. The rears are blacked out, the front is bright yellow.

I wanted Trijicon HDs for my 1911, but this was as close (and as cheap) as I could get.

    Good Luck,

Another one (actually two - Wife & I) that have switched all are Glock sights over to Warren Tacticals. Front sight has a tritium dot night sight and rear sight is plain black.

I have them on both of my 2nd Gen Glock 19s and my wife has them on both her Glock 26s.

Both of us feel that the ability to quickly pick up the front sight has been improved since we switched over to these sights. (We have always used Mepro or Trijicon 3 dot night sights before, on our Glocks, Sigs, and other pistols).

My Glocks will always get a set of these from now on.

See thats why Im leaning towards the Henie or warrens. I can focus on that front sight much better with a black rear sight.
Have you shot the Warrens and Henies side by side? What are you thoughts on comparing the two?
Also where do you guys order your sights from?
