I just picked up a Glock 19 and the tool at Top Glock dates it at 12/89. I recall there were some updates to the internals in the early 1990's.

How do I tell if these have been completed?

Do I definitely need to have them done before shooting?

Assuming I need the updates, what is Glock's turntime for this work?

Should I just wait until I go to a GSSF match, instead?

Thank you in advance and your assistance is greatly appreciated.

The easiest way to tell is by the looking at the trigger bar's firing pin safety extension, if it's flat on top, it probably needs the upgrade.

The bad part about sending it to Glock is the obscene shipping cost, I'd take it to a GSSF match.

+1 on waiting for the GSSF match.

Your Glock is just fine as is, shoot away!
