You can always make it bigger . Making it smaller is another story .

I’ve actually thought about this. I know it’s a great carry piece.

You can’t go wrong with the 19x or G45. I’m way smaller size wise and conceal a G45 perfectly fine even with a fitted T Shirt. The 19 is really nice but there is something about that full grip.

The good news is that all three can share the same holster, so get a G19 holster and then buy (and carry) all three. :)

I favor the G19 w/ an RMR, but the G45 keeps trying to get into my pants with its SRO...can't go wrong with either, but the 19 hides a little better, of course, given its shorter frame.

Do you have the G45 with an SRO? If so, how do you like carrying it? It’s it that much harder to conceal?

I'm going be fitted soon to have a custom leather shoulder holster made so I can carry this in the colder months when a jacket/coat is needed. 20190802_185933.jpg

Not THAT much harder, but I did find myself shoving it more left of center than usual (appendix carry) to make up for the butt sticking out more on the right.

I don't really carry the G45, though...bought it for USPSA carry optics play on the weekends. :)

It's the SRO that draws me toward the G45; but it's the ruggedness of the RMR and more concealability to keeps me carrying the G19.

Because I don't drop my weapons, I keep thinking of getting another SRO for the G19 and not looking back. But until Trijicon ruggedizes the SRO, the RMR is the safe play.

I prefer the Gen 3 feel. And the ambi slide stop did not agree with my grip. Had a Gen 5. Wasn’t a fan. One of my coworkers was a fan. So he relieved me if it. Wouldn’t have made the effort to sell it on armlist or anything, but he offered so was an easy decision.

    I have a 45, 19, and 27 (I know, got it on a trade).
If I could only have 1 it would be the 19 no questions.
But, since I have the 45 for sweatshirt/jacket weather and the 27 for warmer months, I actually don’t have much need for the 19.

If for CC I’d go 26. As been mentioned, you can make a 26 bigger but you can’t make a 45 smaller.

For ccw the 19 would be my choice. Just easier to hide in many different carry locations. I personally like the Gen 4 fs model the best.

I shot a G19 Gen 5 and felt it was really what everyone says about the Model 19. I would encourage you to get it. 19X will do about the same thing, but is bigger. If you like Coyote, night sights, and aren't going to put it in your front pocket, go for the X.
About the only thing I don't like about the 5th Gen is that Marksman barrel's recessed crown.

All are excellent pistols but for concealment? No not me. I carried a glock 19 open carry with a level 3 holster for 12 years and its great for that but to hide? Um no not me. It's like a 2 inch brick on your side.

Not so sure about huge, but it is slightly easier to conceal, and I do find myself carrying my 19 more than my 19x these days.

So, id say 19 as well.

I carried a 19 for years. I highly recommend it. Depending on which position you carry, a 19X or 45 isn't going to be much different from a 17.

If I’m going to have a concealed carry issue, it will be with the seatbelt. For me the G19 interferes with the seatbelt much less than the 19X/45.

I carry a G48 and I really like that gun a lot. However IF I were to go back to carrying a "bigger" gun I really like taking a G17 and cutting the grip down to a 19. You get the longer sight radius and the slide is not the hard part to conceal.

Out of the ones you listed I would go with the G45 because it looks the coolest to me out of those three.
