Hi everyone.

I recently picked this up from a local law enforcement dealer. It’s a blue label and I cannot find much discussion on this specific model of the G17M. Does anyone know about this specific model? The internals are not nDLC as far as I can tell. They’re not jet black.

Model #: UM175F30A

Thanks!

I was just looking at my 19M box.

Your model number with [USA and 19] exceptions looks like the Agent model.

Any chance you could call Glock and ask them if your G17M left factory with Black trigger Bar and connector?

I know there are all kinds of variations, but I think yours should have the Black internals.

I wouldn't put it past someone to 'swap' them.

Very nice17M regardless

Thanks! I called Glock, and all the gentleman could tell me was the explanation of the model number. I could have sworn this one should have had the black internals too! “3970” on the trigger bar means NOT nDLC, correct? It’s also most definitely not jet black...

Did you get a 'Blue Label' price on it?

If you could find out Glock's local LE rep name, it may be worth 'trying' to contact him?

Do you have AmGlo night sights? are they dated?

It's a very fine pistol Brother

I did get the blue label price. It was ridiculously cheap... Something like 4xx.

That's a great idea. I'm going to do that now.

Yes on the AmGlo night sights; no date that I can see. And thanks, yeah I really wanted to at least own a 17M, preferably not red label version. I figured as long as I didn't get a red label PM1750333 (or whatever the more common one was) it would be better.

UM175F30A would be the 13th 'M' SKU I've come across. Should be Ameriglo night sights, 5.5lb trigger, US made. There hasn't been a solid pattern yet. Some that end in 'F30A' have nDLC internals, some don't.

Did it have the extended slide stop lever as well?

It unfortunately does not have the extended slide stop lever. I hadn't seen many M model numbers with USA prefix, and I heard rumors of the FBI M guns being made in USA. I was hoping I had gotten lucky! Doubtful now though given non-nDLC and no extended slide stop.

So many SKUs... I wonder how these things aren't more common in the wild.

Including this one, I show at least four U.S. made 17M SKUs.

Great call on reaching out to rep. I spoke to the rep for my state, and he informed me that Glock put out 15,000 G17Ms onto the commercial market to keep the value of the original leaked 17Ms from becoming astronomical.

Not sure if 15,000 is a small or large number when it comes to production runs for Glocks...

That seems like a lot of 17's...

Interesting.
Cool he got with you in a timely fashion.

He ever address your [should you have] Black internals?

He sure did. He said if it’s not nDLC coated, it’s not a DOJ (one of 4 agencies) weapon.

He also said that the commercial run was a combined 15,000 G17M and G19Ms. So probably 7,500 a piece. Not too bad as long as they don’t start mass producing them.

I know this is an old post, but I just picked up a 17m yesterday. It didn't come with coated internals, but what had me dumbfounded was it had ameriglo bold sights instead of the agent. Everything else is spot on down to the m on the barrel hood. Anyone else gotten one like this?
