I have a question about my Glock 17. There is only 1 pin over the trigger holding the parts in instead of 2 on my other Glocks. Is this normal and why are they different?

Yes, it is normal. The 9mm frame doesn't need the extra support provided by an additional pin through the locking block.

All frames are made with the hole for the extra pin these days. They can manufacture one frame and use it for any of 9mm, .357, or .40. caliber models.

Nothing to worry about. My 1996 G19 has over 55,000 rounds through it.
