    hi guys,

May officemate po ako willing to sell his Glock 17 at 33.5T, unused and never been fired. Reasonable na po ba yung price and ano bang generation yung prone sa frame defects? Naalala ko po na may nag-post dito before ng start ng serial numbers ng problematic generation ay 'E' ba yun?

Main intention ko po ay IPSC shooting.
    Thanks.

not sure about the series which got recalled, if there indeed ever was a recall.

33.5 is a good price, if it is infact unused i do not know, for sure it has been fired already.

from the factory and then at the ballistics test

From info on the net, some E series glocks were subject to a recall, which the company called an upgrade. Not all E series were affected though. To be safe, just stay away from the E series or better yet, check the thread on the recall. Its somewhere here in Glock Talk, including serial numbers affected.

P33.5 is a good price. Baka early generation.

3rd gen na ang mga E series. check out the sticky of "makeminea10mm" at the general glocking forum.

    that's a good price foreven a slightly used g17.

The E series affected were the G19s not the G17s.

It is not all E series but it affected all Glock models (not just the 17 or 19). My G32 EEDxxx was not affected.

Yes, I also confirmed directly from Glock USA about my G34 (ECC***), which they assured me was not affected. Anyway, if it still breaks even after they said it wouldn't, that's the time I'll get it fixed... errr, I mean, "upgraded" :)

That's a good price for a G17, even if it's a 2nd gen. Some people even prefer the second gen without the finger grooves.

Regarding the E-series-- if you plan to re-sell the gun in the future, you might have a tough time disposing it if it's an E-series (even if it's on the unaffected list). If you plan to keep it, then make sure it's unaffected by confirming it on the Gen Glocking list and be happy that you got a bargain of a blaster.

    Thank you for your replies.
Nakita ko na po yung pistol and it seems hindi pa siya nagamit ng owner. Na take down/strip ko yung pistol and mukhang tama naman yung sinabi niya na hindi pa niya naiputok. Of course, except during ballistics test sa FED and sa factory.
Yun model po ng pistol ay yung contoured na yung grip and may railing na sa frame for mounting accessory.

Serial # is CRPXXX. Ito po yung catch, may existing license but expired na since 2001 or 2002 pa (hindi pa niya makita ang FA card license niya). Baka mag meet kami at 30K or mabawasan pa between 28-30T depending kung kailan nag expired yung FA license.

Magkano po ang transfer of ownership, renewal ng license including penalties?

    thanks again.
