Hey guys, I have a fast question about using skateboard tape on my glock 17 in USPSA. Both of my questions have to do with shooting in the production division.

1. Is skateboard tape legal on the bottom of the magazines?
2. Is there a plug available for the 4th Gen 17 that is legal for USPSA? I have looked at the one that I have for my Glock 34 and it will not fit as there are some extra channels inside the area on the new glocks.

In addition, is there one that is SSP legal for IDPA? I am not sure if there is a difference between both sports?

Thanks so much guys!!

Negative on the grip tape on a magazine in production. That puts you in Open :wow:.
I have not seen any Gen 4 plugs. Waiting for someone to do up a 4th gen. magwell myself.
Not an IDPA guy so I cant help you there but very different rules.

Looking at the rules I see this:

http://www.uspsa.org/rules/2009_Production_Rules_Revisions.pdf
NROI Interpretation for the Production Division Equipment Rules
(Appendix D4) - June 25, 2009

21.7 (New) Magazines Prior restrictions on magazines have been lifted. OEM and aftermarket magazines and base-pads may be used. However, any and all magazines used in competition, must fit into the USPSA box while empty and inserted in the handgun as described in item 7 of this appendix. Grip tape and/or skate board tape are specifically allowed on magazines and base-pads.
