I saw one at the pawn shop. It looks to be in fair condition. One 17-rd mag. Bone stock. Is this a fair price for one? Should I wait for the 4th gen G17? I already have a G19 and wouldn't mind a 17.

BUY BUY BUY!! That's a fantastic price, but you need to make sure you know what to look for when buying a used Glock. I think there's something about this under the "Valuable Info" forum here at GT. Field strip it and make sure nothing's outta place, rusted to death, etc. Other than that, I'm not sure what to tell you....get in touch with someone here on GT. A guy named "Butch" is awesome with questions. The only other thing to say is that at that price, the G17 will go pretty quick. Don't waste any time in grabbing that thing. If you decide not to, post the address and phone number of the pawn shop and if not me then somebody will jump on that thing. Good Luck!

Get'em lower on it. Glocks are a dime a dozen.

It's been there for a while. It's a little out of the way pawn shop. I can probably get them to include the tax so that the $399 will be out the door.

I'd bet they paid about $275 for it. Ask them if they'd like to make $50 and sell it for $325 and don't do one cent over $375 with a 2nd mag tossed in, otheriwise knock off $12.

Considering that you can get a new one for about $400 with a GSSF certificate, it may not be the best thing for you to do. I don't know your situation, though.

Is that GSSF gun with two, or three mags?

Also, does Glock allow for GSSF buys to get the up to +3 more mags at $21/each?

In Central Florida, that's even better than normal for pawn shops.

Join the GSSF and buy a brand new G17 for $398.20.

... Why not get a brand new one (probably gen 4) joining GSSF???

You might spend a few $$s more but you will end up with a new gun that will work for you the next million years.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Cheers

Once again, pointing out that you have to pay $35 to join GSSF so it really costs
    $433.20.

If you can find a local dealer that participates.

Buy the 17 from the pawn shop then join GSSF and buy a 26, 34 or whatever you want with your certificate because you will want another. Problem solved.

Well if its local then there is Tax wich would be around the $40 range.
Which is fine if your getting a bone stock one. Would most likely get a blue label with 3 mags too. GSSF technically is only supposed to have 2 from what I read.
But if you are including night sites and such then that's even more on the taxes.
I bought a G21sf RTF2 with Glock Night Sights Tuesday and should have it on Friday. Total was right under $600 with FFL and I am only spending $2 on tax for the FFL.

    Glock 21 is $464.20
    Glock Night sights $57.20
    GSSF membership $35
Shipping to your local dealer $15

I also joined GSSF and got the certificate/price same time as purchasing the firearm thanks to Ed's public safety, Very convenient.

Personally, I would rather pay the $433.20 through GSSF and get a new G17 with 2 mags, than pay $399 and get the pawn shop's used G17 in fair condition with 1 magazine (YMMV).
