I will be carrying a GLOCK 26 with a Pearce +2 magazine extension, 11 rounds. For a second magazine I am considering a G19 or G17 mag. Can someone tell me or refer me to the dimensions so I can tell how long they are compared to my G26 mag.

The G17 mag is about 1/2 inch longer than a G19 mag. I took this photo a long time ago to show the difference between a G26 with Pearce and a G19

I've used G17 mags in my G26 during a competition before. I was surprised with how comfortable it was to shoot the 26 with them - the gun felt really balanced. I'll also say, if I personally ever had need to use a backup mag I wouldn't be thinking about it's length, only the number of bullets I had.

Wanted to know how much longer so I could figure out how to carry concealed. Like the 17 rounds but the G19 mag is not that much different from my G26 mag

Or you could always opt for one of these

I carry the 26 with the factory +2 for a total of 13. If I'm going to carry a spare mag it's a 17. A 33rd happy stick is always along for the ride in the truck!

More info can be found in this GT thread and post:

And a warning from the end of the post linked above:

WARNING: Before depending on any larger- or extended-capacity magazine in any pistol for serious uses, be sure to test it for safe fit and functioning, with the exact ammunition you intend to use. Not all guns will work reliably with all possible magazine/ammunition combinations.

They work as well as anything. A doublestack mag is bulky no matter what so they arent exactly convienent carry. These dont take up the whole pocket like the pocket holster i tried. If someone looks at it theyll know its not a knife but how many people look?

...a pierce +2 should give you 12rds w/ 1 chambered for 13rds...

Don't know the lengths but a 17rd mag is just fine in a 26..
Can only get 11rounds in the +2 mag extensions. I have had the extensions on the magazines & loaded for 4 months. Even double checked the mod #'s. on the plate. My G26 is a G3 and had base plates installed when I purchased gun.

G26 12 round mags from Glock do hold 12 rounds, I have 4. Of course they and their 10 round little brothers are also why I have a mag loading tool. Can't speak for Pearce, never tried them.

You might want to try both 19 and 17 mags, they may carry differently, shooting is about the same.
