    A Streamlight TLR-1 is right at $100.

The range bag is a good idea, you could put a couple boxes of ammo in there too.

I LOVE my magula upula and my midway USA compact range bag..... the full size range bag might be TOO big, unless he likes to carry EVERYTHING to the range with him. If I fill up my compact bag, it gets pretty heavy. Some metal targets might be nice also.

I wouldn't part with my Maglula magazine loader for anything! I think that's a nifty present if they don't already have one!

good bags, flashlights and knifes are always needed / used ..

ive gone through countless cheap bags holding a minimum amount of ammo guns .. get him a good range bag, or a good LED flashlight like the surefire g2, good benchmade knife, etc ..

    All good choices guys.

My suggestion, assuming he doesn't already have them, is a quality set of electronic earmuffs. These are the one thing that everybody loves as soon as they get them. Most guys I know enjoy shooting more when they can talk to buddies while doing it.

    Excellent ideas here.

I'd go with electronic earmuffs (if he doesn't have them already).

    You're a good friend!

You can't go wrong with ammo and targets. Something to shoot with and something to shoot at!

flashlight is a great idea. Everywhere that a gun is in the "ready" position ie loaded(next to the bed, glovebox, closet by front door, kitchen, pocket, etc.) there should also be a flashlight. Next to that,

Mags mags mags and lots of them!

I am pretty particular about my accessories. I don't think anyone can buy me anything for my guns, except Ammo.
